I was bit by the travel bug at a very young age. My father is an airline pilot and I have been very blessed with the opportunities to travel before I could even see over an airline counter. By my 2nd birthday, I had already been on more than 20 roundtrip flights. In addition to flying, my family has a strong love for the outdoors and we spent many summers driving around the entire USA for camping trips.
By the age of 17, I was going on solo trips to Europe; I just couldn’t get enough of the thrill of discovering new places, meeting different types of people and broadening my ever-expanding horizons. Travel is not just a passion but a life style for me, a way of getting to know the world in a way that can only be done by first hand experience. I have learned to value the differences I find in others, not to be afraid of the unknown, and to be confident and graceful in new surroundings. Once you start to look at the world in this way you stop thinking of yourself as a foreigner and start to see yourself for what you are, a citizen of the world — your world and you see that no matter where you are, you are always “home”.
My goal for these travel guides is to make all of you feel at home as well wherever in the world you find yourselves. As always, please comment or find me on other forms of social media for questions or more tips.
